My name is Courtney and I have wanted to be a counselor since I was 13 years old.  In school I was the one who everyone sought out for advice, and was pretty good at it! One day I asked my mom if a job existed where I could give others advice, to which she replied, "Sure, a counselor does that!" And here I am!

Not only was my mom the inspiration for me to become a counselor, she is also the reason for my specialty in grief and loss.  After a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, she passed away in 2005, three days before I started Graduate School.  I completed the program, and opened my practice as soon as I graduated in 2009.  Since then I have dedicated myself to helping others who have lost loved ones.

I have built my practice around clients who have a similar expereince to mine, and also have specialties in anxiety, adolescent concerns, and working with new moms and/or dads.  I feel that working with a therapist who has personal knowlege of what you are going through will give you the fastest results in your sessions.  Of course, I will never know exactly how you feel or what you have expereinced, but i can draw on my personal experience to help you heal faster.
